| Tailgate Credentials |
This past Sunday, I was invited to a one-of-a-kind tailgate for the Chicago Bears. The tailgate was put together by
E3 VIP, an exclusive event experience company specializing in VIP mobile tours, custom event services and luxury tailgating. Now, I've gone to many tailgates back in my college days, but never one for an NFL game. The tailgate combined the amenities of a luxury suite or skybox at a football game with the traditional pregame parking lot party experience.

The tailgate took place in the parking lot near the Adler Planetarium in a roped off area of approximately 2,000 square feet. The tailgate included freshly-grilled food, a premium bar, and a DJ.

The bar had a great mix of cocktail options, including Bloody Mary's, of course, as well as Lagunitas beer, which made the BF and I very happy!

Over at the grilling station was a Guy Fieri look-alike who was cooking up a storm. We had a ton of grilled food including pork tenderloin sliders (my fave), shrimp, lamb chops, chicken skewers and Polish sausages. It was cool to watch all of the food being grilled in front of us! This definitely was a million steps above and beyond the food I usually have at tailgates, let alone the food inside the stadium.

There was also a popchips bus with plenty of varieties to go around. I tried some new varieties including the ranch tortilla chips which are dangerously good.

While the BF and I were chatting away, we got to meet 1985 Bear Superbowl champion, Otis Wilson. He happened to stop by and enjoy the tailgate and it was great to meet with him and chat with him! I can't promise there will be a former Bears player at every E3 VIP tailgate though :)

ReplyDeleteThat was some event and I thought that was Guy Fieri, too! Tailgate grilling are the best and to see this at a very large scale like this event is awesome. We often have tailgate grill events during weekends and anytime we feel like it, lol! Nothing beats all the good food, drinks and company that goes with this awesome outdoor activity. I think as a host, you've got to have the best tailgate grill in order to cook all food favorites with confidence and gusto!
